Eek! My apologies, Roz. I didn’t mean to offend, though you seem to have gotten the gist of what I meant. I like your comparison to Medium, as far as some of the writing being of much higher quality than others. And I appreciate knowing that there are some good writers and true stories in them. Thank you for setting the record straight! I’d received one as a gift years ago, read through it, and didn’t think it was too awful until I started getting to the ones that reminded me of those “it really happened to me”-type of stories that abound on the internet. After that, it was all I could focus on.

And now you have me VERY curious as to whether I’m capable of writing something that would actually be accepted for publication there. (Too bad I’m not a pregnant Ferrari owner; I could tell my story, haha.) I do love humor but I’ve never tried to write it. I suppose it might be similar to the way I tell stories to my family, only with proper editing.
