I became a Christian in my late twenties after being raised Catholic and ditching church the moment I wasn’t in my parents’ household anymore. One day, the whole gospel just clicked for me, and as cliché as it sounds, my life has never been the same.

I find it really interesting that you came out on the opposite side after searching for yourself, unlike C.S. Lewis, Lee Strobel and others. But the fact that you’ve done your own investigating is probably why you’re able to state your case without coming across at hateful or condescending (which happens on both sides of the argument, sad to say, when people don’t think for themselves).

It bothers me greatly that you were told not to come back to Sunday school and to church in general until you basically got yourself together. What a horrible thing to say to anyone. I certainly hope that real Christians show you a lot more love than that, because that was some sucky behavior you had to deal with at a young age.
