I can only imagine the relief you felt when Lizzy’s mother responded as she did. That tells me that maybe she noticed a trend in her daughter’s behavior as well, or at the very least, that she recognized that your concern wasn’t the same as accusing her of being a bad parent. Too many parents are defensive in similar situations.
