I finally convinced my husband to get a rice cooker about six months ago. He’d been resistant because he can cook rice just fine, thank you very much, whereas I have always struggled with the boil-over or the turned-it-too-low-to-cook-because-I’m-afraid-of-the-boil-over. But oh, when he finally bit the bullet . . . he actually apologized to me for holding out so long, lol. The idea that we can LEAVE THE ROOM and the rice doesn’t explode or burst into flames is a huge bonus to suppertime prep.
