If you’ve never read How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth by Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart, I think you’d really enjoy it. They break down the various books into their categories and study the culture, the historical context, the political climate, and the intended audience. I went through the book in a class our pastor taught about Scripture twisting, and I plan on reading the book again to get even more out of it.
