I’m a worship leader at a Christian & Missionary Alliance church, and although the CMA has focused for years on overseas missions, our church in particular is finally recognizing the need to see our neighborhood and city as our primary mission field. If we can’t transform our community by our interactions with people on a day-to-day basis then we’re blind to what our mission actually is. Sharing the love of Jesus shouldn’t be reserved for a visit to a far-off land.

Rebekah Joan wrote an article just this week about how we as Christians need to show love above all else. Period. People are so much more likely to listen when we tell them about God’s love if we’re actually showing it.
