I’m not quite sure what you’re saying here — that you’re in the baby boomer generation and sacrifice comfort of . . . technology? Or that you sacrifice physical comfort to have technology? The way you phrase it is unclear, and I’m sorry I can’t address that without knowing.

But yes, as a whole, I do associate the majority of young people with eco-friendly products and a sustainable lifestyle. I live in a semi-rural area of Pennsylvania (so definitely not one of the most forward-thinking states in the US), and most of the Millennials and Gen Zs I know carry refillable bottles rather than disposable plastic-bottled water, they use cloth rather than paper napkins/towels, they don’t buy plasticware and paper plates, and they are diligent about composting, growing their own food if possible, and not buying convenience foods. They carpool when possible to save on fuel, and don’t treat their lawns with chemicals. I consider them to be much more conscious of waste and by-products in general than generations before them, including my own (Gen X).
