I’m proud to say that my husband and I have done our best to raise our children (now young adults) to be fluent in sarcasm. And yes, our gentler friends (many of them southerners, so US or UK, the southern humor thing is consistent) took a while to understand us, and to realize we actually get along incredibly well together and aren’t being “mean” to each other.

Never give up the privilege of being intelligent enough to be sarcastic. If people don’t get you, you don’t need them anyway. And there will always be people who need to be laughed at, plain and simple. It’s our job.
