My husband and I were in a band together when we met. I sang, he ran sound. We were busy enough that we really enjoyed the weekends when we didn’t have to play, honestly. Your husband probably genuinely misses the time at home as much as he enjoys his time on stage. Even so, I’m glad you had your epiphany and both of you can enjoy his success.
